Why can’t I reach my health & fitness goals??
A post for the weekend as this is the time when goals are forgotten and put on the back burner until Monday!
It’s now mid way point in February at FF fitness and we have seen some amazing results so far but also there are those who have not seen the results they thought they might, why??
There is more than one answer to why you haven’t hit that target yet but for nearly 12 years now as a trainer what pops up most is consistency!
To many people stop and start over and over again and then wonder why they see no change.
Consistency is crucial to achieving any goal you have set and making small daily improvements over longer periods of time will bring you to your goals easier, this beats going all out for 4/6 weeks every January only to come crashing with the inevitable binge and then giving up!
Implementing small changes daily, weekly, monthly will then become habits and good habits lead to success.
Exercise, nutrition and leading a fitter healthier lifestyle should not be a chore it’s to be enjoyed at that is the crucial part enjoyment, both in training and in food.
Enjoying your time at the weekend to relax or have a few drinks won’t hamper any goals if you create a few habits…
•Fit a session in before going out.
•Keep your eating clean all week.
•Choose not to binge eat when out( takeaways).
•Choose not to binge the next day.
•Exercise the next day, walk,jog, gym session.
Create better habits and implement them daily and overtime these become a way of life and part of your lifestyle and who you are.
Achieving your health and fitness goals does not mean you should sacrifice your weekends or down time!!
